Talking Sense 13: Giuseppe Picheca on how the world order collapses around Israel

Why is the world doing nothing about the genocide happening in Gaza?

Why is Israel, after murdering tens of thousands of innocent people, still able to present itself as a victim?

Why is everyone complicit? Why do the big media, businesses, politicians and citizens of countries big and small still support Israel? 

Where are the world institutions? Is the UN and the international courts just a facade? 

And why will letting Israel get away with it be the end of the world order as we know it?

To discuss all of that, we invited Giuseppe Picheca, a human rights activist living in Prague.

Choć jednak serca mamy bardziej po lewej niż po prawej, to załoga podkastu różni się w swoich poglądach, co pozwala nam toczyć dyskusje i spory które - mamy nadzieję - są interesujące również dla naszych słuchaczy.

Giuseppe lives in Prague and he has a background in human rights activism and journalism and although he wanted to mention that today he is here as a private person in capacity because he is currently not working in those fields, he still remains very adamant and provides a lot of useful information and online activists.

Niestety w historii Komitetu Żydowskiego w Prague wiele tych budynków było pustych.

But in these days, if I have a Free Palestine flag in Prague, I might be accused of being such.

And it is true that every time I need to go and pay my parking fee in the municipality of Prague 1, where I live, I have to pass under Israeli flag, which has been there since October, nearly two years ago now.

Example which breaks my heart, on the National Theatre of Prague for one year and a half there was displayed the Israeli flag and it was the Ukrainian and the Israeli flag, which for me it's really a controversial thing to put them together, because I as many went volunteering, trying to help Ukrainian refugees at the beginning of the war.

And this is something that, for instance, here in Prague, but a lot in Europe is missing.

Mówiłem trzy, cztery razy podczas tych demonstracji w Pragu i głównie stwierdzam, jak, wiesz, zniszczenie praw zewnętrznych także z powodu tego, jak czescy politycy działają, wygrywają, prowadzą główną fabrykę żołnierzy israelijskich, które produkują drony w kraju.
